There are some sales techniques that work better than others. You know that. But what are the best ones? Which ones will get the customers to pay attention to your products and then actually order your products? The ones listed here are the most popular and can give you that extra boost to turn potential sales into definite sales.
1. Incentives. You need to give potential customers a reason to shop with you over your competition. Give them an incentive of some sort – a discount, a free item, free shipping – something that will sweeten the deal for them. This incentive should be what seals the deal for you. One common example is you buy one thing, get another item free. You can use poster printing to help you get the word out. People love it when they can get something for free!
2. Give clear ordering instructions. If you use catalogs or booklet printing and you have an order form in the catalog or booklet, be sure there’s no way to make a mistake in filling out that form. This will save you and the customer time, and it will save you money. You don’t want to send out the wrong item, and then have to pay for shipping it back because the customer thought he was ordering one thing when he actually wanted another.
3. Word-of-mouth advertising. This is the best kind of advertising you can do! For one thing, it’s free. For another, word-of-mouth advertising will help you gain loyal customers. Your newest customers will already trust you because whoever told them about you already trusts you. For this to work more effectively, make sure you use up your business card printing budget – pass out several business cards to the same person so that the person can give your business card out to their friends and family when they talk about you.
4. Use headlines in your print marketing materials. Whether you do booklet printing, brochure printing or poster printing, make sure you use headlines. Headlines grab people’s attention and break the monotony of small text. Most people won’t read all of your marketing piece (sorry, but it’s true), so use your headlines to the fullest – tout a benefit to the customer right where they are most likely to see it.
5. Wear your advertising. Have t-shirts made up with your company’s name on them. Wear a hat with your company’s logo on it. Many companies do that, and some people even pay to wear another company’s logo (think Nike)! You can probably get your business card printing company to print your t-shirts or other wearables. If not, they’ll probably be able to recommend you to another printing company that can.

April 17th, 2010Achieving Sales Goals – 9 Steps to Achieving Your Sales Goals
April 4th, 2010
Have you created your plan for the year? Do you know where you want your sales to be a year from today? How many more clients do you want to sign on? How much money do you want to make? If you haven’t started thinking about your sales goals, you’re likely to be in the same place this time next year.
The definition of a goal is “a dream with a plan and a deadline.” We’re always hearing about creating goals, yet the majority of our adult society does not even set goals in writing. The most common reasons people don’t reach their goals are they fail to write them down, fail to make a plan, and fail to take action. Without knowing where you want to go and how you’re going to get there, you’ll never reach your goal destination.
Here are (9) steps that will help you achieve all your goals and dreams:
Create your S.M.A.R.T. goals for the year. Make sure your goals are vivid and specific, measurable in quantity, achievable, realistic but also a stretch, and a timeline of by when you’ll reach your goal. Write all the barriers you can think of that might get in the way of you achieving your goals. By writing down all the thoughts on paper, helps to diminish them. Select the top (3) goals you want to reach in the next (3) months from your list, and commit yourself to taking an action step every day to achieving these goals. Write specific action steps for each goal. An action step doesn’t have to take very long to do. It could be spending 10-15 minutes daily working towards that goal. If your goal is to sign on (4) new clients in the next (3) months, an action step could be making (10) new prospect calls each day before 9 am. Make a list of people who can support you in reaching your goals. They may also have goals that you can support them in reaching. People like to help, so ask them. Put your goals in a visible place so you can see them daily. Post them on your desk, in your car, on your bathroom mirror. Every day read your goals aloud. Speak your goals in the present tense, as if you’re already there. The more you say your goals aloud and to yourself, the more real they become. Visualize yourself having reached your goals. See yourself succeeding. How excited you’ll be when you bring in those new clients and get that bonus commission check! Promise yourself that you will achieve your goals. If you want this to be the year of sales breakthroughs, then it’s up to you to commit yourself emotionally, mentally and physically. Otherwise, it’s likely not to happen.
If you’re saying to yourself right now, “I have no time to do this,” then making more time in your life should be one of your first goals of the year!
Assignment
Create your goals for the year using the S.M.A.R.T. system. Write a list of any barriers you think might get in the way of you achieving your goals. Select (3) goals you want to achieve in the next (3) months. Write specific actions steps for each of your (3) goals. Make a list of people who can support you in reaching your goals. Call and ask them. Then set up weekly support calls. Put your goals in a visible place so you can see them daily. Every day read your goals aloud in the present tense. Every day visualize yourself having reached your goals. Every day commit yourself to achieving your goals.

The Most Lucrative Commission Based Sales Jobs?
March 20th, 2010
Commission sales jobs are particularly the kind of jobs that are perfectly a win-win situation for both the parties. The vendors pay you up only when you make the sales and you get to align yourself with the best of the products. However, there is a huge difference that must be realized.
This process is not a job, at least not on the internet. If you have read somewhere that this is a job that you can take up online then, the person has been plain lying. Such jobs do not exist. And when they do then, they are not worth taking at all.
For example, the company offering such jobs might be a new one and may plainly not have sufficient funds! Actually, the case can be much worse. How? The company could be a big one but might as well be launching something that is extremely new and this might not get them too many takers!
So, it makes no sense to work hard when people would not be willing to buy. In fact, one just can’t sell stuffs which people won’t buy! So, the best thing to do would be to take it as a business. This actually is a business for a lot of people. The benefit that you would get when you treat it as benefit is that you are not bound by specific products! In fact, you get to choose the best of the best!
There are of course certain things that must be kept in mind before you actually begin doing such commission based sales jobs or establishing your own business. And guess what, none of this needs to be technical at all! In fact, the hardest thing to master in these cases is realizing the wants and needs of the people.
Since it is the people who are willing to spend their time and money, it is essential for you to know them better and offer solutions that would make their lives better. And one thing must be noted carefully here, it is- trying to fit products into a group of people would always be similar to trying to adjust your foot so that it comes inside a smaller sized boot! It is of course possible but there is a much better way available.
If you do need money on a specific date then, you should definitely consider getting yourself a job and not doing this internet marketing thing. The reason is simple, since it is a business, it does take time and since it does take time, you do need to be patient.
What is more is the fact that like any other thing, this thing too has a huge learning curve. And it is this learning curve that holds people back. People consider internet marketing as a short way to earn lots of money quickly. While it is a shorter way, it certainly is not very quick and one does need to be patient in seeing the results. However, if the learning curve is crossed then, the business is worth all the effort!
