Strauss Crown of Curling

General Rules

  1. All games are 10 ends.
  2. There is no practice before games with the exception of the first game of the event (some practice ice available late Thursday). Each player will be allowed one rock up and back (first game only).
  3. There will be no time clocks but all teams are expected to play at a pace of 73 minutes per team.
  4. All other CCA rules for unsupervised play apply.
  5. A current rule book will be available in the Kamloops Curling Club office.
  6. All disputes should be settled between teams; however, in the event this is not possible, a CCA certified rules official will be available at each venue.
  7. The first Ladies A qualifier will be determined by a shoot-out between 3 teams. At the completion of the October 20th, Saturday 11:00 AM draw, the winners will have each player throw one practice rock and then one shoot-out stone. The shoot-out placings will be determined by the total team measurement from the centre hole. Rocks that do not end up in the rings are recorded as a distance of 72.
